BELIEVE.

“Believe you can, and you’re halfway there.” Shae Marie Murk, daughter of David and Shana Murk, uses this quote to motivate herself every day. Shae has been involved in multiple organizations, including Volleyball, Basketball, FCCLA, and FCA for 4 years, All-School Play 3 years, Band 2 years, as well as Track, Drill Team, and FFA 1 year. Shae has also held the role of Class Vice President for 2 years.

When Shae isn’t busy with her extracurricular activities, she can be found volunteering at Heartland Church Camp, working as a CNA at Blue Valley Senior Living, or watching/participating in races with her family. “Racing cars is a big tradition in my family. I’ve spent a lot of Friday nights at the dirt track in Beatrice watching my dad race stock cars. I’ve had the chance to race in the Marshall County Figure 8 for 2 years now, and it’s one of the things I enjoy doing the most.”

After high school, Shae hopes to leave a legacy of being fun and friendly to everyone she encountered. Shae plans to become a Radiologist Technician and work in a hospital. Shae credits her family for pushing her to be the best she can be. “My parents, grandparents, and sisters have influenced me the most. They support me in everything from sports to academics, and they are always willing to help.”
