END OF THE ROAD

The Mustangs Junior Varsity end their season 2-4 playing Troy 20-46, Marysville 20-14, Republic County 12-14, Jackson Heights 6-8, Centralia 12-38, and Atchison County 14-0. “We could have done better, but we got better in the process and was it a fun season, “says freshman Caden Parker. The Mustangs look to get a large amount of numbers out next year for more junior varsity games and to also give the varsity team a look at what the opponent runs.

Trayton Claycamp says, “The team is very young and in a new form of football. We didn’t get it right away but the season got better as we went on.” The junior varsity may not play under the Friday night lights but they play a big part on the team. They make the varsity better and to become a better team to play on those Friday nights. They run the opponents offense and defense to show varsity what they run and what to prepare for.
