TUCKERED

Tuckered. Most everybody has heard the tale of “Sleeping Beauty”, but not many people have heard the story of a young prince who cannot fall asleep. The junior high drama class is currently working on a one-act play, Tuckered. It revolves around a young prince who had a curse placed on him. Unlike Sleeping Beauty, he is unable to sleep. In an attempt to break the curse, the prince’s personal steward and a rag-tag group of adventurers set out on this long and perilous journey. The seventh and eighth grade drama students have been diligently working on this production over the past two months.

“The process of setting a foundation for drama students is essential for forensics and the All-School play,” says director, Lynette Steele-Coon. “In past years we have done readers theaters and vignettes with the junior high, but this year is a little different.” There will be two performances, April 24 and 25. Also there will be a “sneak peak” of Tuckered at Drama Night, April 16.
