“Developing the qualities of leadership, which an FFA member should possess”

On November 21st, The Chapter Officer’s and several other FFA members participated in Leadership school at Holton. In FFA there are seven different types of Leadership Activities to participate in, these include Agricultural Issues Forum, Conduct of Chapter Meetings Leadership Development Event, Creed Speaking, Employment Skills, Extemporaneous Public Speaking, Parliamentary Procedure, and Prepared Public Speaking.  

Two Valley Heights teams participated in Parliamentary procedure and in a Conduct of Chapter Meetings Leadership Development Event. The Senior team got 9th in Conduct of Chapter Meetings Leadership Development Event and 12th in Parliamentary Procedure and the senior Team got 9th overall. The Greenhand Team got 8th in Conduct of Chapter Meetings Leadership Development event, 7th in parliamentary procedure and 8th overall. Rylie Borgeding So. Says” Its a great experience to practice public speaking. It is also fun to hangout with other members from other chapters!”
