STUNT DEVILS

One: we are the Mustangs, Two: a little bit louder, Three: we still can't hear ya, Four: more, more, more one. The Mustang Cheerleaders use this chant to get the Valley Heights crowd and players ready for the game. To add to the excitement, the cheerleaders have added stunting to cheers. “It's such a thrill to be a flyer, when I get put up into a stunt it’s a feeling that is hard to describe. It's definitely something everyone should do once in their life” said Megan Jones. At the first of the school year, cheerleaders attended a new stunt camp hosted by Sharon Deters from Axtell at her studio in Seneca.

The girls will be returning to stunt camp over Christmas break to learn new stunts. Halftime performances is a new idea the girls have been thinking about after they return from stunt camp. “So far it has been a great experience with the stunts. We all really enjoy doing them and I'm excited to learn some more to bring back to the crowd to get them more excited for the games,” said Alli Jones captain.
