DANCE, DANCE. Valley Heights Junior High host the annual school dance on Friday, February 22. Organized by teacher Anne Haefke, the commons area was decorated with bright colors and party favors for the students. When asked what inspired her to take on the roll of hosting the dance, sponsor Anne Haefke replied “Do what you love, and love what you do. I live by that, which is why I do what I do!” The dance lasted from 7-9 p.m., and invited all students from 7th and 8th grade to attend. Senior Carter Popejoy ran the DJ for the evening. 8th grader Maecyn Gunn says, “Spending the evening with my friends and dancing all night is one of my favorite memories.”
