Waterville Elementary is composed of preschool through second grade - two classes at each grade level. Our 2010-2011 enrollment is 161 students. We utilize Smartboards in every classroom, amplification systems in every classroom, distance learning opportunities, Senteo student responders, etc. with our instruction. A high level of hands-on learning activities that are developmentally appropriate within all subject areas and grade levels are embraced by all staff members.. Meeting every child's individual learning needs in every subject area is emphasized through effective implementation of differentiated instructional strategies. We offer a multi-aged reading block among our first and second graders with kindergarten having reading block on their own. Our reading block incorporates enrichment learning opportunities along with writing fundamentals and in-depth reading instruction.
