Because there is a first day and a last day to each school year, we tend to think of this time of year as an ending. And, while the 2011-2012 school year is winding down, we are already looking ahead to new beginnings. Our seniors are completing the plans for their new beginnings whether it be a new phase of education, a job, or the military. We just held orientation for eighth graders and their parents as they will be beginning high school journey. I am meeting with each class over the next few weeks to plan their courses for the next school year and to update their four year plans. The end of April will bring orientation for the sixth graders when they are invited to our building to be introduces to their new beginning as students at the junior/senior high.
Just as spring is full of new beginnings, so are we. Good luck seniors and welcome to all new and returning students. Happy summer. Happy beginnings.
