Cultivating Potential
Projects Supported through the Foundation
Gifts to the Foundation have funded a variety of opportunities for students. A few of these opportunities include:
-Local scholarships to VHHS seniors (Amounting to nearly $20,000 annually)
-Valley Heights High School Band trip to Washington, D.C.
-FFA Officer trip to the FFA National Convention
-Fine Arts trips (Treasures of the Czars exhibit, productions of musicals such as "Guys and Dolls" and "Grease")
-Speakers at all-school assemblies
-Visits from children's book authors at VH Elementary Schools
-Sound equipment purchased for high school commons
-Mrs. Alice King's travels to Prague, Czechoslovakia, for a Fulbright Summer Abroad Program entitled "Kansas-Czech Heritage: Renewing Connections"
