BLOCK OUT HUNGER. Valley Heights plans a Block Out Hunger for the second quarter incentive day. Students are asked to bring in food items that can be stacked up in front of their classroom doors. Some of the items that are being requested are canned fruits and vegetables, cereal, canned meat, soups, brownie/cake mixes, mac & cheese, and peanut butter. Stuco has been doing Block Out Hunger for 6 years and it has steadily grown every year. Sam Vermetten ,Stuco president, says “Our goal this year is to collect around 750 food items.” all of the collected food items will be donated to the local food pantry to help families in need.
