HOMETOWN HOLIDAYS. Every community has it’s own holiday celebrations which they hold throughout their community. Blue Rapids showed its Christmas spirit last Saturday with Hometown Christmas. People from both Blue Rapids and Waterville came to the Blue Rapids square for Christmas activities throughout the day, including a soup super, carriage rides, story time with Mrs. Clause, hot chocolate, and the night ended with a parade around the square. “Hometown Christmas is always super exciting whether it’s for little kids, adults, and even the businesses that participate,” says Emma Toerber who has attended the Hometown Christmas the past few years. “It’s so fun to go to and it just keeps getting better every year.” Hometown Christmas is a holiday favorite and it continues to bring the communities together around the holiday season.
