The girls basketball team took on Hanover for the first time this season. Valley Heights girls took the lead at halftime, 23-18, by a buzzer beater from Kennedy Stevenson. The game was low scoring, but was good defensively. The girls played well but fell short in the game 40-37. “Losing always isn’t good, but to me to loss was good for the team. We got to see what our weaknesses are, and what we need to improve on,” said Catherine Toerber. “ This game will prepare us for future games, and we are glad we got to play a competitive game.”

The boys took on Hanover for the second time this season. The first time they faced off was in the TVL League Tournament. The boys started off slow, but were able to pull ahead and not look back. The scoring was all over the place with many people over 10 points. “We came out and fought. The whole team was clicking, and even without coach we did our best to make him proud.” Said Trenton L’Ecuyer, “Now all we got to focus on is the game ahead, and not over look anyone.”
