NATIONAL FFA WEEK FESTIVITIES

The Future Farmers of America chapter at Valley Heights is going all out this year for National FFA Week. Their goal is to get both the high school and grade schools involved in festivities, as well as to highlight Valley Heights FFA members. To celebrate the week of February 18-21, FFA invites all junior high and high school students to participate in dress-up days. Tuesday is Cowboy Day, Wednesday is Farm Animal/Chore Day, Thursday is Chapter Shirt/Hat Day, and Friday is ‘Merica/Camo Day. The organization will host a school-wide ice cream social during lunch on Wednesday, for everybody in the building to enjoy. They will also be putting on their annual Pancake Feed (OPEN TO THE COMMUNITY) on Thursday morning, the 20th from 7-9 a.m. Later that day, the Valley Heights FFA Chapter will invite all teachers and staff to enjoy a BBQ in the Ag shop. To cap off the week, the organization will have the Greenhand Initiation and an FFA member lock in on Friday. Additionally, there will be agriculture and FFA trivia over the morning announcements each school day.

The grade schools will participate in different dress-up days throughout the week, as well as take part in a coloring contest and a special activity at Colts Round Up on the 26th.
