DECIDE YOUR OWN FATE. Alexis Elizabeth L’Ecuyer was born on April 30, 2003 to parents Erik L’Ecuyer and April Lees, and has three younger siblings Corban L’Ecuyer, Blane Lees, and Jean-Luc L’Ecuyer. On a Saturday night you can most likely find Lexi hanging out with her friends, or maybe listening to OCD by Logic and Dwn2earth, which takes her back to summertime and cruising around with friends.
“Never let fear decide your fate”-Unknown. This is a quote that Lexi tries to live by everyday and says “Nowadays people have so much doubt in their mind about what they can accomplish. You just need to keep a good mindset and do what is right for you, and always remember that there are people in your life that want to see you do great things.” Some of those people in Lexi’s life would be her parents. “My parents have always inspired me and supported me. My parents are the most hardworking people I know and have inspired me to work just as hard.”
Lexi has been involved in numerous extracurricular activities over the years, including: Art Club, FCCLA, Band, Vocal, Volleyball, and being the basketball team manager. Throughout these years Lexi has made many memories but remembers the ones spent with friends the most. She says “My favorite memories have been the special bonds I have created with my friends, especially Claire Nolte who has influenced me to become the best version of myself, and I can’t imagine going through my senior year without her.”
Lexi is unsure where she sees herself in 10 years, but she would like to become a Veterinary Nurse and live in a new place. If Lexi could give the underclassman any advice it would be to enjoy the years here at Valley Heights and make the most of it because the years go by fast. When Lexi leaves this community she wants to be known as someone that never said no to helping someone, and someone that puts everyone else’s needs above their own. “With so much negative in the world I want to be a positive light of hope, even if it is for just one person.”
