“Do what you love, love what you do.” This is senior, Claire Nolte’s, favorite quote. “It might be a cliché quote, but you won’t enjoy your career or life if you aren’t passionate about it.”

Claire Nolte was born on January 31st, 2004 to Kim and Alex Nolte. Claire has an older brother, Connor Nolte, an older sister, Kourtney Fry, and a nephew, Brody Fry. Claire has been involved in many activities throughout high school, including Art Club, KAY’s, NHS, Scholars Bowl, FCCLA, Band, Volleyball, Cheer, Dance, and Track & Field. She has also worked at Colts Round Up and Camp Exploration all four years of high school.

When asked about how Claire stands out from the crowd, Kaci Smith shared, “She is my Art Club president and shows great responsibility in this role. She also shows great initiative, is very compassionate, and is always thinking of others.” Claire's favorite memories in high school are spent with Kaci Smith. “The art room is my sanctuary throughout high school. I feel comfortable and relaxed while doing art next to an amazing human being and mentor, Kaci Smith.” Along those same lines, Claire's advice to the underclassmen is to be unapologetically yourself. “Don’t live to please others or live to their standards. Find and create yourself into the person you love and don’t allow other people's opinions to falter your confidence.”

Claire’s plans for the future are to attend the University of Kansas for four years to obtain her visual Art education degree. She then plans on teaching at the high school level while she obtains her Masters degree in painting. She would also like to apprentice for six months to receive her tattooing license.

“In ten years I see myself teaching as a college art professor in North Carolina or Florida.” During her summers off, she would like to travel the world in a Volkswagen. Claire also sees herself owning an at home tattoo shop on the side. When Claire leaves, she would like to be remembered as someone who stood for what she believed in. She would also like to be known for being a free-spirited and down-to-earth person. “Always stay true to who you are, remember what makes you beautiful and unique, and don’t allow others to put out the spark in you. Find what makes you happy and follow that path. Explore new things because you might be surprised by what interests you and fulfills you,” is Brandy Turner's words of wisdom to Claire for the future.
