SWEEP

Varsity girls sweep the competition. Tuesday, September 10th, Varsity, Junior Varsity, and C-Team girls took to the road to participate in a quad in Axtell. Throughout the course of the night, the Lady Mustangs faced off against Centralia, Frankfort, and Axtell. Varsity started their night off with a bang, when they defeated the Centralia Panthers in three hard fought sets. Then, the Mustangs turned around to defeat Frankfort and Axtell, both in two. Junior Varsity also had a successful night on the court. After a tough loss to Frankfort, the girls refocused and defeated Axtell and Centralia. C-Team (whose number of games is limited due to the amount of girls out for volleyball throughout the league) takes advantage of every opportunity they receive to get on the court. Although they were defeated by the Panthers on Tuesday night, freshman Kaylee Skalla said, “We have improved so much since our first game. Things are just going a lot better on the court.”

The Varsity girls will travel to Riley County this coming Saturday for a tournament. Then on Tuesday, the Lady Mustangs will travel to Randolph for league games at Blue Valley High School.
