Floating Friday’s
A killer prom is in the works for next year's juniors. Raising money to fund their plans is already underway by selling root beer floats every Friday. They want to make it memorable. Floats are $2 each. “I don’t think we will raise prices anytime soon, " said Kadence Pierson, "we want the student body to be able to buy them.” Sophomore Violet Slifer exclaimed, “If anything, we will just do it twice a week instead of one. Their goal is to make enough money to have a little extra to do something fun. Although, setting this up hasn’t been easy for their class. Chad Bargdill comments, “The top contributors out of our class buy the supplies to make the drinks. It changes every week, so the hassle of getting all the supplies doesn’t fall on one person. We try to rotate who is working the stand, so we all get a chance to work it.” The sophomore class will be selling root beer floats for the rest of the year, and maybe even into the next.
