Definition of Kind

DEFINITION OF KIND. “I do not and will not fear tomorrow because I feel as though today has been enough,” a quote by famous singer, Zach Bryan. Senior Alexis Miller said, “I love this quote because it reminds me that if you enjoy what you do today, you should not have to worry about tomorrow.” Alexis is known for her passionate heart. When Alexis is not in school she loves being around her family and treating them to her culinary works.

Alexis LeeAnn Miller was born to Misty and Norman Miller on October 10, 2005. She lives in Waterville, Kansas with her parents and younger sister Tessa Miller. Alexis is very involved in school, as well as outside of school. She was a part of the Wide Awake 4-H club for ten years.

Growing up outside of Waterville, Alexis has made many memories at home and school. As Alexis is winding down on her senior year, she reminisces on all the great memories she made here at Valley Heights. One of her most memorable memories is when the FFA group took a trip to Colorado for a retreat. Kaylee Skalla and Brooke Porter fell out of the raft while white water rafting, giving everyone a good laugh. Memories are something that will stay with Alexis forever but so will the individuals that left an impact on her personally. “My parents have always been my rock and my reason why. They are always pushing me to make myself better. My drive to become the best I can be has shown in this year specifically. I am extremely proud of my academics, working strong all the way throughout my senior year.” Alexis is well known for always lending a helping hand. Her advice to the younger kids that look up to her is, “Try everything once and base the next couple years on it and remember, it doesn’t cost anything to be kind.”

Throughout Alexis’ time at Valley Heights, she has been a part of: Art, the All School Play, FFA, KAY Club, NHS, Student Council, FACS Club, FCA, Mustang Mentor, and Volleyball. Throughout these activities Alexis has had multiple leadership roles. She was FCCLA President for two years, KAY president for one year, NHS Secretary, along with many other positions.

After High School, Alexis plans to stay close to home and attend SouthEast Community College for Radiology. Ten years from now Alexis hopes to have a happy and healthy family that she raises locally.
