JUST MY LUCK To some people St. Patrick's Day is just another day, but to others it is their favorite holiday. When you think of St. Patrick's day you may think of green, people with ginger hair, shamrocks, leprechauns, and other festive items.
Tessa Miller, Sophomore says “St. Patrick's Day is very special to me since my birthday falls on the same day. I celebrated my birthday with my great grandpa, but after he passed, I learned to cherish the holiday even more.” Tessa’s family goes all out to celebrate by wearing green, necklaces, hats, and putting up many festive decorations.
Eighth Grader, Rilo Shill is well known at Valley Heights for his vibrant ginger hair. Rilo feels as though he and “his people” are being celebrated on this day due to their great hair. Although Rilo’s family may not wear green and decorate, they still honor the day by baking delicious green cupcakes.
