Junior kids dancing.

GET GROOVY OR GET LOST. Whether you were in school in the 80s, 90s, or 2023, or even the 1800s, school dances have always been the highlight of high school and junior high social life. Valley Heights Junior High held their annual dance on Friday, March 24. After school, Mrs. Haefke, Mrs. Conti, and Harmony Conti set up the decorations for the dance. Harmony Conti says, “The funnest thing to set up was the snacks because compared to my mom’s side, mine looked really silly.”

When asked what she was most excited about, eighth grader, Dehlyn Martin, responded, “What I most looked forward to is that I get to look pretty and wear a dress. The reason I chose my dress was because I wanted something with glitter.”

Hayden Pierson, eighth grader, went to the dance with all of his friends. When asked what his favorite dance move was he replied, “My all time favorite dance move is the sprinkler. It is easy and fun especially when you don’t know how to dance like me.”
