TVL, TAKING IT BY STORM.

The Valley Heights Forensic team is TVL Champs.  Once again winning first place since 2017, with the exception of 2020 during Covid, the team clinched first place by bringing fifteen competitors to Troy.  Every team member medaled and there were twelve qualifiers for State Champs to be held in May.  Medallists include:

Carter Germann, 1st place in Prose and Solo Serious – State Champs Qualifier

John Haefke – 1st place in Extemp Speaking - State Champs Qualifier

Lawson Stryker, 1st place in Solo Humorous and Duet Acting – State Champs Qualifier

Harmony Conti, 1st place in Duet Acting – State Champs Qualifier and 3rd place in Solo Humorous

Jay-Lynn Bauer, 1st place in Poetry – State Champs Qualifier

Saige Wilcox, 2nd place in Poetry – State Champs Qualifier

Janelle Medina, 4th place in Poetry, 3rd place in Informative Speaking

Liam Schill, 1st place in IDA, 2nd place in Solo Humorous – State Champs Qualifier

Audra Steinfort, 1st place in IDA, 2nd place in Solo Serious – State Champs Qualifier

Tyrel Wagner, 3rd place in Solo Serious, 3rd place in Duet Acting

Kayla Bigham, 3rd place in Duet Acting

Nathalie Madera, 6th place in OriginalOration Speech and 7th in Solo Serious

Michelle Sandoval, 5th place in Original Oration Speech

Lilly Busey, 6th place in Prose and Informative Speaking

Caden Parker, 1st place in Original Oration Speech – State Champs Qualifier

Maggie Toerber, 2nd place in Original Oration Speech – State Champs Qualifier

Next up for the team is the Wamego meet on April 17th and Forensic Showcase Night to be held on May 3rd at 7pm.  This is a chance to see the competitors perform their pieces and there will be a fundraiser meal prior to the showcase.  Then the team will travel to Wichita to compete at the State Championships on May 6th.
