STAY KIND

“An eye for an eye and the world is blind,” is Jay-Lynn Bauer's favorite quote because she will never try to get revenge on anyone. She believes it just causes more pain. Jay-Lynn Marie Bauer grew up in Waterville, KS. She was born on July 15, 2005, and lives with her maternal grandfather, Rick. She also has 3 younger brothers, Jesse, Jace, and Jax Bauer. Something that Jay-Lynn is very proud of is advocating for herself and the safety of her siblings.

Jay-Lynn says her ideal Saturday night would be a nice big dinner, reading a book, or hanging out with the people she cares about the most. Her favorite foods to eat are pastas, soups, casseroles, or any homemade food. She enjoys the music groups, The Crane Wives and Poor Man’s Poison.

When asking Jay-Lynn who has made a difference in her life she says the Nemechek family. The Nemecheks have given her the family structure she has always wanted. They also make her feel very welcome and at home. Valley Heights art teacher, Mrs. Smith has also impacted Jay-Lynn a lot. She says that Mrs. Smith has always been there for her and gives her someone to talk to.

Jay-Lynn's favorite senior memory was when she went to state forensics her junior year. “I really enjoyed getting to go to state forensics in Wichita with my friends. We got to go to the mall and stay in a hotel.” Her plans after high school are to attend Washburn and study Pathology. When asking Jay-Lynn what she wants to be remembered for when she leaves, she responded by saying “my never-ending kindness.”
