COASTING THROUGH PHYSICS. The students at Valley Heights are “rolling” to finish the year but not without keeping the communities in the “loop”.  The physics classes are working hard to finish out the year with a fun roller coaster project. The main objective is to create a model roller coaster with a partner by using physics equations to keep the “rider” safe and sound. “With track and all the other activities that we all are involved in, our class only has 1 day until the end of the year that we will be together in class,” Junior Delana Murk comments.

The two classes worked together to create a big Knex™ roller coaster before they were sent with their partners to create a roller coaster of their own. “Maggie Toerber and I are currently working on our creation called ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ which has been very fun but also challenging,” Junior Tyrel Wagner states. Although they have to stay on “course” to get everything turned in on time, these students are able to “bank” on their smarts to finish off this “roller coaster” of a year on the right “track”.
