State Team

BLAST OFF TO STATE. Valley Heights Forensics did an amazing job this past weekend in Wichita at Forensics State 2A Championships.  Out of 14 Valley Heights events, eight went on to semi finals: Liam Shill, Caden Parker, Lawson Stryker, Harmony Conti, Carter Germann, John Haefke, and Audra Steinfort.  Of that group, five qualified for finals.  State final places included John Haefke winning 6th in Extemp, Liam Shill 5th in Solo Humorous, Lawson Stryker 3rd in Solo Humorous, Caden Parker 6th in Oration, and Carter Germann 5th in Solo Serious. These were the most students qualifying for semi-finals and finals in the history of Valley Heights Forensics.

The whole team including Jay-Lynn Bauer, Saige Wilcox, Janelle Medina and Tyrel Wagner helped the team come in with 4th place sweeps out of 27 schools.  Also congratulations to Maggie Toerber and Robert Limon who competed at State Festival and each got a 1 rating with their speeches.

"Forensics this year at state was very fun. It was amazing to be up on stage and medal. I loved playing games in the hotel room and overall having fun in Wichita. Last year's state was fun but honestly I think this year was more special," said Liam Shill.
