Who Would You Want To Meet?

WHO WOULD YOU WANT TO MEET? Starting off, I interviewed Mr. Broxterman, history teacher at Valley Heights. Knowing history as much as he does, many historical figures came into his mind. He said names such as Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, Napoleon Bonaparte, Julius Caesar and Thomas Jefferson to “pick their brain.” One of the questions he would ask Bonaparte was, “Why did you march your army so far into Russia because that was pretty much his downfall,” said Broxterman. When I asked where and when he wanted to meet Napoleon Bonaparte he said France, and that he would be a very interesting person, who was revered, and hated just because of his reign in France. “He was a hero in France, but an enemy to everyone else.”

After that, I interviewed Charlie Warders, a freshman at Valley Heights. Charlie said that he wanted to meet Derek Jeter and ask him what his motivation was to become so great? Charlie said he wanted to meet him “anywhere, anytime, anyplace,” because he is his idol.

Next I interviewed Nora Parker, another freshman at Valley Heights. Nora said that if she could meet anyone it would be her Great Great Grandfather. A question that she would ask was how life was like at the time. Nora also said she wanted to meet him driving around on a side by side checking cattle in Waterville. Nora said she heard a lot of good things about him and he was a great person who ran a successful business.

Kloee Martin, a junior at Valley Heights, said she would love to meet Anne Wilson, a country Christian singer from the West Coast. Kloee would ask what inspired her to become the singer she is today. Kloee would love to meete at a  Wilson meet and greet after a concert. Kloee said that Wilson helped her grow in faith and be closely in touch with Christianity.

Nathalie Madera, also known as “Nat,” is a senior at Valley Heights. One of the people she would want to meet the most is our 16th US, president Abraham Lincoln. When I asked what would you want to ask Lincoln she said “was it hard to be a president during the Civil War?” Nat said she would want to meet him during his presidency in the Oval Office. She wanted to meet him because he was a very influential person in our country’s history encouraging the US to abolish slavery.

Lastly, Josie Parker, a sophomore at Valley Heights, said she would love to meet Donald Trump out of anyone in the world. The first question she would ask was how is his home life and what it’s like being famous but also what his thought process was within his business. I asked when and where she would want to meet him and Josie said, “At her house, tomorrow.” When Josie was asked why she would want to meet Trump she said, “He is high and mighty, and did a lot of good for the country the last few years.”
