TVL BAND. This year Valley Heights hosted TVL Music. TVL music is where schools from all over the league bring bands, choirs, ensembles, small groups, and solos, to perform in front of judges and compete. When band director Brooklyn Coleman was asked about TVL music she shared, “We played “Hunger Games,” a piece that we’ve played since last year and that students have really connected with. The performance went great! The judges had a lot of positive feedback and even wanted us to play more for them.” The band did an awesome job earning a I with scores of 76 and 73 with the best score being 80. Senior Clarinet player, Morgan Vinduska, said her favorite part of TVL music was, “playing the piece we’ve worked so hard on and put so much effort into. I was excited to play it for an audience, but I was nervous because we’ve made this piece original and I wasn’t sure if the judges would like the changes we’d made.”
