THE FINAL FINISHLINE. The State Cross Country Meet was held at the Wamego Country Club on Saturday November 1. The Valley Heights Mustangs Cross Country team had five runners compete at the State level which included Lindsay Gray, Emma Warders, Kebeb Zimmerman, Tyler Holmes, and Langston Gray.
Lindsay Gray says her biggest competition was her mindset throughout the race. All of the runners have commented how the course was difficult due to all of the hills. Some advice lone senior runner, Kebeb would give to future runners is, “ Don’t take cross country for granted. It is a really fun sport and it's a time that you can make memories with your friends.” Listed below are their results:
