WINTER SHOWCASE. This year KSHSAA has increased the amount of regular season basketball games teams are allowed to play by three. Valley Heights has entered a Winter Showcase featuring 5 schools from Kansas and 5 schools from Nebraska.

The first game for this showcase will be hosted by Thayer Central on December 22, in Hebrum Nebraska. The second games will be hosted by Valley Heights on December 30. At these games, Washington County will play Superior, with girls starting at 11:00 a.m. followed by boys. Afterwards the Mustangs will go up against Fairbury (Nebraska). The next day Valley Heights will travel to Washington to play Superior (Nebraska).

Coach Broxterman says, “Playing in this showcase is a great opportunity for us to compete with schools who we don’t see often. This is also a good way to keep playing and improve over Christmas break.”
