TVL BASKETBALL. The Twin Valley League Tournament was hosted at Washington County this year. It was a crazy week of rescheduling due to the winter storm that came in. Going into the tournament, the boys were ranked 11th. The Mustangs played their first game against Blue Valley on January 17, losing (62-39). Next up, they played Frankfort and Onaga. The Mustangs came up short in the Frankfort game (52-29) and lost to Onaga (61-48). Finishing the tournament, the boys placed 11th.
The Lady Mustangs were ranked 3rd going into the tournament. The Mustangs started off playing the Axtell Eagles in the 2nd round of the tournament on January 19 after a first round bye. They came up short to the Eagles (59-54) in a close match. Next, they took on the Clifton-Clyde Eagles. The Lady Mustangs won the contest 62-38 and advanced to play the Hanover Wildcats. Losing to the Wildcats, the Lady Mustangs finished 6th place in the Twin Valley League.
