PRESEASON SOFTBALL. “Practice like you compete; compete like you never lost.” This is a quote from famous softball player, Jennie Finch. With softball approaching, the returning girls are excited for what this season has to offer.
Coming off last season with a record of 10-16 and being regional runner-ups, there is a high standard being set this year. Head coach Anna Berger says, “I’m excited to build on the momentum we created late in the year. Our goal this season is to become more consistent in the batter’s box. We have an incoming freshmen class who should help contribute to an already strong group of upperclassmen.” Sophomore Teagan Spoonts says, “I’m pumped to start practicing with everyone to see the potential we will bring back from last year. We have a lot of returners so I’m excited to see how far we will make it.”
The first double header will be on Thursday, March 26th at Centralia. The Lady Mustangs are ready to kickoff their season stronger than ever.
