It is officially prom week! The junior class have been preparing for this night all year, and this Saturday we get to see all of their hard work pay off. The juniors voted on their top five favorite themes before narrowing it down to three options. The final three themes were Mardi Gras, Vegas, and Arabian Nights. Arabian Nights won by a landslide!
Prom sponsor, Liz Miller comments, “This year's prom has been way easier to plan, we definitely haven't built as many things as we did last year. Mrs. Parker and I have gotten a lot better at planning and coordinating prom, so each year it just gets better and better.” You can really tell how much effort has gone into it, and everyone’s excited to see how it all comes together.
The dance goes from 7-11:30 then followed by after prom, which for the students is one of the best parts of the night. After prom is a chance for students and their dates to hang out, play games, win prizes, and relax after a long night of dancing. This is run by Tony Yungeberg and a group of parents who volunteer. The students are counting down the days and it will be a night full of memories, pictures, and moments everyone will look back on.
