HIGHLAND ART DAY. One of the biggest art shows that the Valley Heights Art Club attends is Highland Art Day at Highland Community College. With over 1,000 art pieces being shown from schools across the state, and only 250 receiving ribbons, this art show is very competitive. This day is filled with many activities and competitions from sidewalk chalk, clay sculptures, self portraits, and many more! Our school entered 30 amazing art pieces and brought home six ribbons and two medals! The Art Club sponsor, Mrs. Miller says, “It was such a beautiful day to attend the show! The past three years that I have gone to this show, this is the best we've ever done, seniors Chad Bargdill and Creighton Smith brought home two medals! I am very proud of each student that had a piece in the show and I can’t wait to see what next year will bring.”
