REDS, WHITES, AND ROYAL NIGHTS. Friday night, September 11, during half time of the football game Everson Parker and Lindsay Gray were crowned the 2026-2027 Homecoming King and Queen. The drill team also performed after the crowning to a “Little Party Never Killed Nobody" by Fergie, GoonRock, and Q-Tip. The Valley Heights football team won their first game of the season against the Doniphan West Mustangs.
After the game there was the annual homecoming dance. There was food, music, and lots of fun. Shaylee Ekstrum and Kylea Mathison shared that the cupcakes were their favorite treat from the dance. Juliet Busey shared that her favorite song of the night was the “Cha Cha Slide” by DJ Casper because it got everyone to the dance floor! Tyler Pack shared “My favorite part of the dance was when we were waving around my American flag shirt to the song “Courtesy of The Red What and Blue” by Toby Keith.” He added “It was so fun seeing everyone scream their hearts out to such an amazing song.” Homecoming week was so fun and Friday night was the perfect way to end the week.
