SIUUUUUU MICHAEL. Michael Charles Lowrey is the son of Miglena Youskove and Hasen Youskove. Michael was born in Bulgaria on December 29, 2008, but grew up in his hometown of Waterville, Ks. He is a younger brother to Stephen, Daniel, and Kevin Wicks and an older brother to Brian Lowrey. Michal’s senior mentor is Tommy Tryon. Mr. Tryon shared “Michael is many things. He's pretty goofy, and has a good sense of humor. He has all the ability in the world and finds ways to use that ability to do many things.” Lowrey has been involved in vocal for 1 year, Football for 2 years, and Art Club for 2 years. Outside of school, you can find Michael working at the Marysville nursing home. Michael’s favorite quote is "Your love makes me strong, your hate makes me unstoppable" by Cristiano Ronaldo. He likes this quote because “people that hate you tend to push you to do better, and help you succeed.”
Lowrey's biggest accomplishment is making it through his last year of high school and being part of the Valley Heights community. Michael’s favorite weekend plans consist of playing soccer with his brothers. Lowrey hopes to continue his soccer career at Manhattan Christian College while also furthering his education. In 10 years, Michael sees himself coaching and hopefully married with a stable job that allows him to provide for his family. The advice he would give to underclassmen is “Push through high school, it’s one of the most important parts of your life so far. Eventually it will come to an end, so it’s important to enjoy it.” Michael will be remembered as someone who always had a smile on his face and could crack a joke in the middle class and make everyone smile.
