TVL TOURNAMENT. On Saturday October 10, the Valley Heights Mustangs competed in the TVL Tournament at Washington County. The Lady Mustangs came into the tournament ranked 7th. On the day, the Mustangs played matches against Onaga, Linn, Axtell, and Doniphan West. They beat Onaga in two sets (25-15, 25-9), lost to Linn in two sets (19-25, 24-26), beat Axtell in two sets (27-25, 27-25), and beat Doniphan West in three sets (25-27, 25-23, 25-13). Senior Tessa Bigham says, “All of the competition was very difficult because TVL is one of the hardest leagues in the state. Toward the end of the tournament we lost a lot of energy but we overcame that and beat Axtell.” At the end of the day, the Lady Mustangs secured 5th place.
