The Valley Heights Students in the stands

THE MEMORIES WITHIN.

The 2021-2022 school year is already a quarter of the way through. Over the past nine weeks, the Mustangs have been busy with club activities, homecoming, volleyball matches, football games, and cross country meets. Many organizations started the year with meetings and kickoff events, like the recent Art Club Barbeque. The All-School play cast is well into rehearsals and preparing for their performance in the Waterville Opera House. During homecoming week, students participated in dress-up days and other activities to boost school spirit. The Lady Mustangs finished the regular season 26-9 and placed second at the Twin Valley League Tournament. This coming Saturday, they will travel to Alma-Wabaunsee for the sub-state tournament. The football team is currently 2-4 and is preparing for their final home game against Northern Heights.

Placing second at the Blue Valley Tournament, the Junior High Volleyball Team finished their season strong. This Thursday, the undefeated Junior High Football team will match up against Clifton-Clyde for their final game. Cross country athletes have seen significant improvements to their times over the past couple of months and are getting ready to perform at regionals. There are so many exciting events and activities to come in the next three quarters and many more memories to be made in this school year.
