Trenton L'Ecuyer at practice

KICK OFF THE SEASON. “I’m looking forward to seeing what we can do this Friday, we have a lot of young guys out, but I think we'll surprise a lot of people. I’m excited to get out on the court with the boys and see what we're capable of,” said senior Trenton L’Ecuyer.

The Mustang Basketball teams host Riley County Friday night for the first game of the year. Both the girls and boys teams have been practicing over the last few weeks to get ready for the upcoming season. The junior varsity boys team will play at 4:45 p.m. in the Blue Rapids Gym to start the evening off. The Lady Mustangs will kick off their season beginning with the junior varsity as well with the game at 4:45 p.m. at the high school. The varsity game will be after the girls junior varsity, followed by the boy’s game.

The Mustang Basketball Teams are looking forward to starting their seasons and being able to show the Mustang fans the work they’ve been putting in. Senior, Meila Crowder said, “I’m really excited to be out on the court with the girls, to see people in the stands, and hear the band playing. I’m also hoping we can pull out the win and make our fans proud.”
