“I’m loving my Graphic Design class! We started learning how to design logos for imaginary companies and I think it will really help me in the future!” says Savannah Daye, Freshman in Graphic Design. The Graphic Design class at Valley Heights, taught by Kaci Smith, just started a new project after learning about vectors, color schemes, and different tools. Their latest project consists of sketching two to three different primary and secondary logos, presenting them to Mrs. Smith to get approved, then taking the concept to the computer using Adobe Illustrator. Smith says, “I love doing this project every year! It seems like all the students take everything they learned and put it into one project so I can really see what they have learned and even how they have grown as designers. Everyone has come a long way since the beginning of the year, especially those who you can tell really enjoy working on the computer.”
