A MORNING FAVORITE. #MustangTough

“Forty nine percent of all Americans start their day off with a bowl of cereal,” states www.today.com. With nearly half the population of the United States chowing down on cereal every morning, you’re bound to have a favorite. Big companies such as General Mills, Kellogg’s, and Post have made a fortune off of their popular cereals. The most popular cereal in the United States is Cheerios, making approximately $436 million dollars in profit every year! Cheerios may be the fan favorite across America as a whole, but not here at Valley Heights.

In a survey, forty three students and staff were asked what their favorite cereal was and the results showed a huge variety of brands. Cereals such as, Reese's Puffs, Rice Krispies , Life, Krave, Captain Crunch, and many more! Despite the huge variety of options, there were a few fan favorites. Coming in first place, with thirteen votes, is Fruity Pebbles! In second place, with eight votes, is Frosted Flakes. And finally in third place, with six votes, was Cinnamon Toast Crunch. “My favorite cereal has to be Fruity Pebbles! I’ve liked them ever since I was a kid!” exclaims Freshman, Khloe Gunn.

Although a few cereals came out on top of the podium, it goes to show just how many different cereals there really are. During my survey, there were around fifteen different cereal brands recorded! The diversity and variety of the answers of the students and staff here at Valley Heights shows just how unique each member here really is! Keep an eye out for more surveys throughout the year and maybe you'll get the chance to share your opinion too!
