THE FIRST TREK. The Mustang Football Team take on the first trek of the season.  On Friday, September 9th, the team participated in Jamboree, a non-scoring football scrimmage,  attended by Riley County, Clay Center, and Republic County. Freshman, Creighton Smith said,”The Jamboree helped us learn our new offense, and showed me the intensity of high school football.” The community showed their support by coming to watch the team under the Friday night lights. ”Our team is like a family, and we always come together to support each other,”  says sophomore, Logan Gray.

All 25 members of the squad have been working hard to prepare for the jamboree. The team is led by four seniors; Jacob Sweet, Damian Yungeberg, Caden Wiser-Rebein, and Caden Parker.  “Every spot was open this year, and it made for good competition at practice.  We are ready to take on the season” said Junior, Kaison Bigham.
