FLASHY PHOTOGRAPHY. “The best thing about a picture is that it never changes, even when the people in it do.” This was said by famous visual artist Andy Warhol. This quote is especially true for the Valley Heights Journalism staff. The staff takes over 41,000 pictures to produce the yearbook for the students of Valley Heights. With Colby University having signed the first yearbook in 1885. The Journalism staff just had their annual yearbook signing Thursday, September 1st.  Yearbook signing is important because it's a time when people can look back on their memories of the previous year and write meaningful messages to classmates. 

This year the Journalism staff has gained 15 new members; making it one of the largest staff Valley Heights has ever had. When asked what made her decide to join journalism, sophomore Harmony Conti stated, “I saw how much fun they had in this class and wanted to be a part of it.” Senior journalism staff member, Robert Limon, Senior said, “ I joined the journalism staff because I love writing and it was a great way to expand my skills and make me a better writer. Plus you get to find and take funny photos of people.”

He also stated, “With our new staff, I'm excited to see how much we can cover this year with our photography, and our articles.”
