THEY’RE GREAT SO THEY’RE GOING TO STATE. Going in as the 7th seed, the Lady Mustangs travel to Dodge City to compete in the 2022 State Volleyball Championship. Last Saturday, October 22, the Mustangs went to St. Marys for sub-state. They first played Republic County, and won. Next, they played against the third ranked team, St. Mary’s, in which they beat them in two sets. Lastly, they traveled to the championship and played Maranatha. Beating Maranatha in the first set, losing the second and winning the third, punching their ticket to state.
Freshman Ava Smith said, “I can’t believe we just did that, crazy to think we have made it this far.” The Mustangs will leave Thursday morning to take their trip down to Dodge City. They will compete in their first match at 9:30 am on Friday October 28th, 2022, since 2019. Go Mustangs!
