T. Miller Opening her back pack

BACKPACK MUST-HAVES. Everyone has something they always need, whether you keep it on you or tend to forget it. Tessa Miller, sophomore, always has snacks and extra pencils in case someone asks. On the other hand, Mack Shanks, sophomore, is always asking for things he forgets. “Usually I'm asking for snacks,” says Shanks, “but sometimes I forget to bring a pencil.”

The most common item asked for is snacks. Tessa always makes sure to have snacks for her classmates. She usually buys cheaper things so she can bring more to her friends. Tessa started carrying snacks after her friends and classmates started asking for them.

Almost every high school student has a favorite style of backpack. Some like bigger ones with lots of pockets, while others favor smaller, more compact ones. Tessa has used the same backpack for many years, as opposed to getting a new one every year. People with larger bags tend to have more items or extra things.

Whether bringing extra or forgetting, everyone has their own backpack habits. Mack says he asks for different things about 5 times a day. His most repetitive request is asking Faye Jones for a pencil every day. Lucky for him, Faye has got his back. Everyone has their own preferences and habits, whether over or under prepared.
