I'M AN ADULT?!

I WILL BE AN ADULT SOON?!

Tuesday, October 11th, the Valley Heights High School hosted a college and career fair for the juniors and seniors of surrounding schools. 30 colleges came, such as: four year Universities, Juco, Christian, Cosmetology, Private, and the Workforce.

While students visited many of the colleges and tech schools, the representatives showed and explained all the options and possibilities of different programs offered. They also highlighted available scholarships, such as: athletics, fine arts, and academics. This opportunity for the students is very beneficial in showing different pathways towards their future plans. Alexis Miller, junior stated, “It definitely opened up the spectrum to new and different colleges towards my future career as a Radiologists Technician.”

Mrs. Manley, the Valley Heights counselor, organized the college and career fair. When asking her why she arranged it, she said, “I want to let students know of all the opportunities that are out there, along with all the other schools in Kansas and close by.”
