C.W. with mask on at fall fest

HALLOWEEN TO REMEMBER  For kids, Halloween is one of the best times of the year. They dress up as whatever they want and get a bag full of candy from trick-or-treating. For everyone, there is one Halloween that just stands out more than the other. It could have been that you went with all of your friends that year, or you had the best costume, maybe it was that you got more candy than you ever would have dreamt of.

For Morgan Vinduska her most memorable Halloween was when she was 5 years old. “I was in a green wagon, with my sister Macie, I dressed as a ladybug and I tried to get out of the wagon, so I could trick-or-treat at another house, but I face planted on the sidewalk”, says Morgan. This Halloween was the most memorable for her because she got hurt. Morgan busted her lip open and was crying. Her mom asked a resident at the next house for water and a band-aid for her.  She soon felt better and enjoyed the rest of her trick-or-treating.

Maddox O’Toole’s favorite Halloween memory was last year with his brother, Jackson. They carved a jack o’lantern together, using an electric drill with a kitchen mixer attachment on it to pull the inside of the pumpkin out. Maddox says, “Hey, it worked great!” Like a lot of our memories, our favorite Halloween memories are often our favorites because of who we are with, not what we are doing.
