MILE OF DIMES.
FBLA is new to Valley Heights. Caden Parker and Mrs. Schreiner started the club this year and there are many kids interested. FBLA is an amazing club to be a part of. They will be doing many fundraisers this year, but the first is the Mile of Dimes. The Mile of Dimes is a fundraiser that FBLA has been doing throughout the United States for over 50 years. This is done to raise money for parents who have babies in the NICU, funding research to prevent prematurity, health care disparities between women of color, and also maternity health care deserts.
Mrs. Schreiner, FBLA sponsor, said, “I am looking forward to seeing how much money we can raise as a school and seeing the turnout because of this being our first year involved. I also think that this is a really cool fundraising event because we are raising money for others, which is not often seen in high school clubs and organizations.” The fundraiser will be going on throughout the month of November. Join the contest between classes and staff by putting your dimes in the jars located in the library!
