PLAYING FOCUSED.  With a record of 4-5 at this point in the season, the Lady Mustang Basketball team is ready to bring their “A” game to the Twin Valley League Tournament. Head Coach, Jordan Broxterman said, “So far the season has been great, I've been proud of the work ethic shown and the great competition we have in practice. We are still kind of finding ourselves out as a team but we are getting better as the season progresses.”

The Mustang’s first match up will be against the Onaga Buffaloes this Saturday at 10:00am in the secondary gym at Washington. When asked what they will need to do to compete freshman, Ava Smith, says, “We will need to focus on scoring and getting to the basket more often but also working the ball around and getting good ball movement.” To add, Junior, Olivia Skalla says, “We will need to be patient with the ball and value every possession we get.”

The Mustangs are currently seeded ninth in TVL. “I think the league on the girls' side this year is extremely competitive and night in and night out anyone can beat anyone. Every game is going to be tough and competitive, we just need to take care of ourselves and play focused,” says Broxterman.
