2023 New Years fireworks

OUT WITH THE OLD, IN WITH THE NEW As of 2022, it has been recorded that nearly 39% of American adults have a New Year's resolution. To some, this can mean that they have a clean slate for the new year and start over, to others though, it can just be another year.

Sophomore, Morgan Vinduska says that her New Year's resolution is to start saving money more efficiently. I asked Morgan what a New Year’s resolution means to her, and she spoke. “Motivation, so you can have a fresh start to the year, if you messed up badly last year, you have a brand-new slate.” Morgan is going to achieve her goal this year by putting at least 25 dollars in her savings account every two weeks.

Sophomore, Maddy Hanke, is very determined to follow her resolution this year. Maddy said that her freshman year was boring because she never  did anything with friends; so, this year, she wants to change that by making new friends, memories, and spending time with the people she loves. Maddy celebrated her New Year by hanging out with her friends and watching the ball drop at midnight.

If you never made a New Year’s resolution, don’t feel bad since only 9% of people don’t meet their goal the whole year.
