Kindergarten classes were visited by Miss Husband and some of the high school FFA students for their Pets Week. They learned about the different animals, what they need, and how to take care of them. They loved petting the animals!

Mrs. Meadows' class finished off their rock unit by engaging in an experiment about the rock cycle. They used airhead candy to show weathering and erosion. A favorite part of the lesson was watching the "rock" (airhead candy) go from a metamorphic form into lava. In the end, we watched it turn into an igneous rock!

Today Miss Bruna's class did a unit science experiment about the rock cycle. They used Airhead candy to review about weathering, erosion, and the different formations of rocks. The students especially liked having their Airhead "rock" going from metamorphic form to forming lava, and eventually becoming an igneous rock.

Thank you FFA members for showing our kindergarten students a variety of farm animals! The students had a blast!

Homecoming week is next week. Attached you will find the dress up days for the Jr/Sr High School! Go Mustangs!

Earlier in the week, this group of girls, Ava, Janey, Sydnee, Lexi and Addelynn, were very helpful calming down a student during lunch. Thank you for expressing the "V" (value others) in the VHS positive referrals!

Waterville Elementary loved hosting the Rotary club today for their meal and meeting! 2nd graders shared our morning JumpStart routine including the pledge of allegience, anti-bully rules, VHS character traits, daily affirmation, and the Colts cheer! We also had two 2nd graders volunteer to serve the meal!

What a great way to end the day! Mrs. Koehler's 5th grade class (all students) received the VHS positive referral this afternoon. They all worked really hard as a team on their math assignment. Great job everyone!

Homecoming "Dress Up Days" for Pre-K through 6th grade start Tuesday, September 26th through Friday, September 29th. GO MUSTANGS!!

Good luck to our JH and HS runners!

This has been a great week for students receiving positive VHS referrals. DeAnna received one from Mrs. Koehler in 5th grade for working really hard in the homework room at CRU. Connor and Molly both received one from Mrs. Joseph; Connor helped a fellow student and Molly did a good job on a book review. Mrs. Hardin awarded Sophia and Lilly for helping and being good listeners to classmates. Lastly, in Mrs. Koehler's class, Olivia was helpful in cleaning up after a mess. Awesome job to all for displaying VHS qualities!
