In reading, the 4th graders read the book “The Right Dog for the Job.” Students learned about a service dog named Ira and everything a service dog needs to know. We had KSDS Assistance Dogs, from Washington visit about their program. Students learned that KSDS provides trained guide, service, and facility dogs for people who need them or to help enhance their work. Thank you Brooke and Boaz for coming and teaching about these services.

In science, 4th graders are investigating the science of sound. They constructed devices to feel the vibrations, including the paper cup telephone. Today, students were able to see and "use" telephones from the 1900s to the first flip phone. Thank you Ann Walter for bringing these in for us to see.
